Echocardiogram

A test that uses ultrasound to show how your heart muscle and valves are working. The sound waves make moving pictures of your heart in order for the Doctor to get a good look at its size and shape.

ABI

An ankle-brachial index test. This test compares the blood pressure and flow at your ankle with the blood pressure in your arm.

Oxygen Saturation Test

Pulse Oximetry- A quick and needle-free test that measures the amount of oxygen in your blood. It shows whether your heart and lungs supply enough to meet your body requirements.

Stress test (Cardiac Stress Test)

Treadmill or exercise test. Helps the Doctor figure out how well your heart handles its workload. As your body works harder, it requires more fuel and your heart has to pump more blood.

EKG

Electrocardiography-Painless procedure that measures electrical signals in your heart. It will show if your heart is beating at a normal rate and strength.

To safely measure the performance of the heart and lungs under stress to determine if the patient has a medical condition.
